Waitomo Adventures
A wide range of caving activities to suit all, from a black water rafting trip, called Tumu Tumu Toobing through to an 100m abseiling trip called the Lost World.
All activities include free entry to the Waitomo Caves Discovery Centre
Participants must be moderately fit.
Haggas Honking Holes: Very exciting and fast moving. An adventure that crams lots of action into only 4 hours
Lost World Tandem Abseil: A surprisingly gentle trip. Abseil 100m slowly into the Lost World secured by your guide who abseils along side. After the 30 minute descent you embark on a journey back to the surface through a spectacular dry cavern, up a ladder and out into the open.
Lost World Epic: Abseil into the Lost World then take the wet way out. After the 30 minute descent lunch is served before heading upstream, walking swimming and climbing through cathedral-sized vaults. See waterfalls, fossil oysters and whalebones, as well as untold glowworms. emerge several hours later and head back to Waitomo for a well-earned dinner ( all included).
St Benedict's Caverns: Abseil then explore one on New Zealand's most special places - includes 2 abseils ( 20m & 40m) and underground flying fox.
Tumu Tumu Toobing: This trip combines the elements of black water rafting with walking, climbing, swimming and tubing. See awesome cave formations as well as thousands of new Zealand's famous glowworms.
