COMBINATION ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES

Listed below are a range of adventure activity packages for schools. These range from a day package to lengthier overnight packages.

   Stubbs Farm Combo I: (Y3 students and Up)max.jpg (10292 bytes)

Select from the activities below - Students are organised in groups with a maximum of 12 per group:

  • Wild Caving through Max's or Were's Cave: 1 guide, helmets and lights provided. Students will get wet and muddy as this cave has water that can reach up to students' knees.

  • Abseiling: practise on a gentle grassy slope then an abseil down a limestone rock face. All equipment provided.

  • The Covenant: a team-building problem-solving game wherein students work together to surmount a number of physical obstacles.

Guided or self-guided bush walks are also available through the QEII Covenanted Native Reserve on the farm.ropecourse.jpg (12056 bytes)

Location: 15 minutes drive from the Waitomo Caves Village towards the Marokopa Coast.

Facilities: A small amount of shelter available on the site and long-drop toilets.

Time: Allow 30 minutes to get to and from the activities site on the farm and roughly an hour and a half per activity - contact the Education Service for further information.

Cost to schools per student: $20.00 (two activities), $30.00 (three activities), $3.00 per student for a guided walk through the Reserve.

  • Wild Caving through Mangapohue Cave: Guides, helmets and lights provided. Students will get wet and muddy as this cave has water that can reach up to students' waists.

  • Abseiling: practise on a gentle grassy slope then an abseil down a limestone rock face. All equipment provided.

  • The Covenant: a team-building problem-solving game wherein students work together to surmount a number of physical obstacles.
